Action columns let you create Salesforce activities in bulk — just by filling a cell.
The five action columns
When you export, Upcells can include special [Upcells] action columns. Fill a cell in one of them and, on sync, Upcells creates the matching activity on that record:
- Feed Post — adds a Chatter post to the record.
- Note — creates a Note attached to the record.
- Task — creates a Task, using the cell content as the subject.
- Log Call — creates a logged call activity.
- Event — creates a calendar event.
Why it’s useful
It’s the fastest way to log a week’s worth of customer interactions in one go — type your notes across a column and sync once, instead of opening each record individually.
Action columns apply alongside any field edits in the same file: your field changes and your new activities are all applied in the same run, after you review the diff.
